According to reports from Italy, Napoli and Manchester United have reached a verbal agreement for the transfer of ex-Atalanta forward Rasmus Hojlund. He is reportedly set to join the Partenopei on an initial loan, which will become a permanent move.
Napoli and Manchester United finalise Hojlund agreement
Napoli`s pursuit of Hojlund intensified over the past ten days, driven by the news that Romelu Lukaku would be sidelined for several months due to a severe thigh injury.
Initially, Antonio Conte`s team explored a straightforward loan, but they later became open to a loan arrangement that includes a mandatory purchase clause for the Danish international.

Gianluca Di Marzio confirms that a verbal agreement has now been established between Napoli and Manchester United for the 22-year-old striker`s transfer.
Thursday`s reports specify that Napoli`s total investment will amount to €45 million, covering both the initial loan fee and the subsequent purchase obligation.

Di Marzio further suggests that Hojlund could travel to Italy as early as Friday, August 29, provided personal terms are agreed upon beforehand.
In related news, Napoli is also looking to finalize a deal for former winger Eljif Elmas in the near future.
