According to recent reports, the 20-year-old defender Nathan Zézé is expected to remain with FC Nantes for the upcoming summer period. This is despite significant attention from several clubs in the English Premier League. Teams previously linked with a potential move for the talented centre-back included Aston Villa, Everton, and AFC Bournemouth. However, it now appears that these Premier League sides will not be successful in acquiring Zézé`s services this window.
In a separate development, a notable change could be on the horizon for Zézé regarding his international future. Reports indicate that the defender has been approached by the national team of Côte d’Ivoire (Ivory Coast). Zézé has previously represented France at youth international levels, but this approach suggests he might have the opportunity to join “The Elephants” squad, potentially even competing in future Africa Cup of Nations tournaments.
To earn a place in the national squad under coach Emerse Faé, Zézé will need to perform strongly and make a positive impression under Nantes` new head coach, Luís Castro, as he looks to secure a regular spot and showcase his abilities at the club level.
