Our previous reports from three days prior have been substantiated: Napoli demonstrated no willingness to exceed their initial bid of €35 million, plus an additional €5 million in performance-related bonuses. Consequently, Nottingham Forest successfully acquired Bologna forward Dan Ndoye.
The agreed transfer fee for Ndoye surpasses €40 million upfront, with further increases anticipated from bonuses. This financial package proved sufficient for the Premier League side to finalize the acquisition.
As we previously indicated last week, any rumors suggesting a €45 million offer from Napoli were merely speculative and lacked factual basis.
Ndoye Understood Napoli`s Financial Ceiling

Napoli ceased their pursuit with an offer of €35 million upfront coupled with €5 million in add-ons. Despite having reached an agreement on personal terms with Ndoye several weeks earlier, the club remained unwilling to increase their valuation. The Neapolitan club remained firm on their stated figure, refusing to adjust their offer.
Had Napoli genuinely proposed €45 million, an agreement with Bologna would have been promptly secured; however, such an offer was never a real consideration.

Napoli will now explore various alternative options. We have already confirmed their direct discussions with Chelsea regarding Raheem Sterling, and several other potential targets have been assessed and subsequently removed from their shortlist.
We await further developments in the transfer market, but Ndoye`s transfer unfolded precisely as we had forecasted.
