New Zealand Beat Bangladesh by 8 Wickets With 43 Balls Remaining

New Zealand won the match against Bangladesh by 8 wickets convincingly with 43 balls remaining. New Zealand chased down the target of 245 without any problem even though they lost a few wickets chasing this tota, It was a comprehensive victory for the Black Caps that was completed in 42.5 overs They are leading the points table 3 out of 3 wins. They have six points with a heavy run rate on the table. They are on the track for the semi finals.

On the other hand, Bangladesh looked very off-color in the bowling. The target was not also a challenging one. 245 runs on Indian pitches is chaseable 8 out of 10 times. Mustafizur looked a bit threatening along with the captain. Both got one wicket piece but it was not enough to stop New Zealand chasing this total. 

Williamson returns in style with 78 retired hurt, Devon Conway 45 and Dryl Mitchell 89 not out, showing New Zealand’s Authority in the chase. The bad news for New Zealand is that the skipper got retired hurt while playing on 78 runs. This might be a worry for the team as he has just recovered from an Injury.

Batting first Bangladesh put a modest total on the board due to losing too many wickets up front. Shakib and Mushfiq added 96 runs for the 5th wicket which helped to post a respectable total considering that Chennai wicket will favor Bangladesh spinners. But at the end everything was easy for New Zealand to chase down the target and get closer one more step towards the final fours.
