Nico Paz Delivers Masterclass Performance for Como Against Lazio Amid Tottenham Links

Football & Cricket

Nico Paz, a player reportedly on Tottenham Hotspur`s radar, stated he “couldn`t say he was surprised” after his exceptional performance for Como. He delivered a superb assist and then netted a spectacular free-kick, contributing significantly to Como`s 2-0 Serie A win against Lazio on Sunday evening.

The 20-year-old talent has been linked with a substantial €50 million offer from Tottenham, who are actively seeking new attacking options following their failure to secure England international Eberechi Eze, who instead joined rivals Arsenal.

Despite intense transfer speculation, Paz featured in Como`s starting eleven for Sunday`s Serie A fixture against Lazio. The Argentina international proved pivotal, scoring one goal and assisting another, leading his team to a decisive 2-0 win.

Nico Paz`s Stellar Performance: Assist and Free-kick in Como`s 2-0 Victory Over Lazio

Donning Como`s coveted No. 10 jersey this season, Paz ignited the second half with a skillful turn, followed by a remarkably precise pass that set up Anastasios Douvikas for the opening goal, making it 1-0.

The young midfielder then extended his team`s lead to 2-0 with an astonishing free-kick from beyond 25 yards, which powerfully struck the top corner of the net.

“I always practice set-pieces,” Paz told reporters after the match.

“I strive to improve in every training session. We sometimes joke about it, but the goal is always to strike the ball as perfectly as possible. When it went in, I wasn`t surprised because I train extensively for these moments. I would rather say I was simply delighted.”
