Zaka Ashraf admits that Babar wanted Shadab to be on the ICC World Cup squad 2023

No India Visa, No Trip to Dubai, Problems for Pakistan Before the World Cup 2023. Due to visa complications, the Pakistan cricket team’s plans to visit Dubai before arriving in Hyderabad for the ODI World Cup in India have been scrapped. According to a report, Babar Azam and his guys had intended to visit Dubai for a pre-World Cup team-building excursion, but their plans fell through. The team from Pakistan still needs visas to enter India, thus the idea had to be scrapped. Pakistan is apparently the only one of the nine teams competing in the tournament along with India that has not yet obtained their visa.

Pakistan was scheduled to go to the UAE by plane the following week and remain there for a few days before continuing on to Hyderabad for their first warm up match.

However, such arrangements have since been abandoned because, according to a source on ESPNCricinfo, the Pakistani team would travel to Karachi and then fly to Hyderabad the following week. It will be Pakistan’s first visit to India since 2012–2013.

It should be noted that neither side has played a bilateral series in the other team’s nation since Pakistan visited India for a white-ball series in 2012–13. Actually, only two members of the current Pakistani team have ever visited India for a cricket match.

On October 6 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad, Pakistan will play its first World Cup match against the Netherlands.

Babar Azam was appointed as the team’s captain, and Pakistan released a 15-player roster for the World Cup on Friday.

However, they will be without their standout pacer Naseem Shah, who had a niggling injury during their Asia Cup Super Four match against India. He was later disqualified for leaving the field in the middle of his over.

As Naseem’s replacement, Hasan Ali has been added to the team. Shaheen Shah Afridi will be in charge of Pakistan’s famed pace attack. Haris Rauf, Mohammed Waseem, and Hasan Ali will support him.
