Nottingham Forest has reportedly intensified their efforts to sign AS Monaco midfielder Soungoutou Magassa, 21, by submitting an enhanced offer of €17 million. This improved proposal follows the rejection of their earlier €12 million bid, according to a report from Foot Mercato.
The revised offer places Forest in direct competition with fellow Premier League club West Ham United, who had previously tabled a more comprehensive €19 million package for the versatile midfielder. West Ham`s offer consisted of a €16 million fixed fee complemented by €3 million in performance-related bonuses.
Despite Forest`s current bid being slightly below Monaco`s reported asking price of €18 million, the Principality club has not yet dismissed the offer. While AS Roma had also shown interest in Magassa, who featured in 31 matches for Adi Hütter`s side last season, it now appears increasingly likely that the young talent`s future lies in England.
