The last WC Finalists: ENG and NZ come across each other for the opener of ICC Men’s Cricket Worldcup opening Match. Ahmedabad, witht he capacity of one lac thirty-thousand, hosts the opener between these two teams.

NZ’s front-line bowler, Trent Boult also finishes his 10 overs giving away 48 for 1 besides Santner is the 3rd bowler to bowl full overs while giving away only 37 for 2. Meanwhile Rachin also finishes his quota and proves cost by conceding 76 in his 10 with 1 wicket.
Surprisingly, the Bazball followers only managed 2 boundary in the final 10. That’s England only added 58 runs in the final ten beside losing 3 wickets with regular intervels. Adil and Wood recover the innings to some extent and added 30 for the final wicket-stand and their bowlers something to bowl at.
England set 283 for NZ in the 50 overs. With required runrate of 6.66. Ravi Shastri has rightly said that, you have bat longer to score runs on these pitches and Joe root did the same. He didn’t show the baseball approach and continues sailing silently and smoothly to become the top run scorer of the innings.
Overall, England’s Inning include twenty-one 4s and six 6s. Matt Henry gets 3 wickets, Mitchell Santner and Glenn Phillips 2 each while Trent Boult and Rachin Ravindra getting 1 each in the 1st game of the Worldcup 2023.
