The contract of 25-year-old Billal Brahimi with OGC Nice has been officially terminated by mutual consent, as confirmed by the club in a recent press release.
Brahimi joined Nice in 2022, but despite his arrival, he struggled to secure a regular place in the squad under various managers. The winger was subsequently sent out on loan on two separate occasions: first to Stade Brestois and later to Saint-Truiden, seeking more playing time.
This season, the Algerian international made only one appearance for Nice, coming on in the closing minutes of their 1-0 defeat to Toulouse FC during the opening weekend of the Ligue 1 campaign. However, with the transfer window drawing to a close, Nice opted to bolster their attacking options further.
Consequently, Brahimi found himself surplus to requirements with a year still remaining on his existing contract. It was therefore decided that a mutual agreement to terminate his contract early was the best course of action. He is now free to explore opportunities with other clubs.
