Details from Roma`s Official Announcement

In their announcement, AS Roma expressed their satisfaction with securing Leon Bailey from Aston Villa. The statement confirmed that the winger has joined on a loan deal, which includes an option for the club to make the transfer permanent.
Bailey marks a historic moment as the inaugural Jamaican footballer to join AS Roma. Hailing from Kingston, he relocated to Europe when he was 13, subsequently building a professional career with clubs such as Genk, Bayer Leverkusen, and Aston Villa.
The 28-year-old boasts an impressive career record, having participated in 377 domestic and international league matches and scoring 76 goals.
He will be sporting the number 31 jersey.
The club extended a warm welcome to Leon.

Upon his arrival at Fiumicino Airport on Tuesday, where he underwent medical examinations for the Serie A team, Bailey was met by numerous enthusiastic Roma fans.
Bailey`s signing marks Roma`s sixth new addition this summer, following the arrivals of Daniele Ghilardi, Evan Ferguson, Neil El Aynaoui, Devis Vasquez, and Wesley.
The Giallorossi are also reportedly still pursuing Jadon Sancho, who is out of favor at Manchester United. It is believed that Bailey`s transfer could potentially facilitate negotiations with the English winger, given their strong personal friendship.
