ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023’s Warm-up match between Pakistan and Australia is being played today at Hyderabad. Earlier in the day, Pat Cummins tried his batters to open their shoulders against Pakistani batters and set a huge total of 351/7 in 50 overs. Maxwell, Warner and Green with their fifties lift Australia to the driving seat. 

Two left-arm Pakitani openers: Imam ul Haq and Fakhar Zaman came into the middle for breaking the shackles and setting the tone for Pakistan. Mitchell Stark and Pat Cummins open the bowling for Australia to defend 351 in the practice game against Pakistan. 

Pakistani openers were off to a flying start as they managed 35 for in the 2nd innings against Australia. Right then, Skipper, Cummins removed Imam who edged the ball straight away to the Carey’s gloves.

Next came Abdullah Shafique to handle the pace from both ends. Australian captain, introduced spin in the 7th over where he trapped Fakhar who came down the track to hit the ball over the bowlers head and went on 22 off 24 striking at 92 and warner took an easy catch. Both the openers joined the dugout in the th over when team’s total was 44.

Iftikhar Ahmed came to the middle with the keen sense of responsibility in this big chase. Pakistan were good as far as the runs are concerned but Australia got 2 big fishes.

Pkistan scored 59 at the runrate of 5.9 in their first power play losing 2 big wickets of Fakhar and Imam. 8 boundaries were hit altogehter in this first phase of the game with Fakhar and Imam gone for 22 and 16 respectively. While Cummins and Maxwell getting one wicket each. Pakistan needed 293 in next 40 overs to clinch the victory at the required rate of 7.33 with 8 wickets in hand.
