South Africa beat Pakistan in a crucial game to almost finish their campaign in the ICC World Cup 2023. Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat first and put a defendable total of 270 on the board. Credit to the South African bowlers for getting them all out in 46.4 overs which was the main difference at the end. If Pakistan would play their 50 overs they would score a few more runs which might give them a slight edge.
South Africa has shown that they are here for a purpose. They wanted to win this match to qualify for the Semi-Finals of the ICC World Cup 2023 and they did it at the end. Pakistan fought well till the end but couldn’t get over the line. And this might be the curtains for them.
