Pakistan is not included in Aakash Chopra’s updated prediction of the World Cup semifinal teams

Pakistan is not included in Aakash Chopra’s updated prediction of the World Cup semifinal teams. Aakash Chopra, a well-known analyst and former Indian cricketer, updated his forecast on the 2023 ICC World Cup semifinal teams, leaving out Pakistan.

Pakistan has so far won two of their three games at the tournament; their lone loss came on Saturday against India, their bitter rivals.

On October 20, the team captained by Babar Azam will take on Australia in Bengaluru during the World Cup.

“Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, England, and India,” Chopra stated in an interview with OneCricket.

He continued, “My pre-tournament semi-finalists included Pakistan.” Chopra had predicted that Australia, Pakistan, India, and England would reach the semi-finals of the World Cup before it started.

“They (India) are the favorites, but there might be three other semi-finalists: England, Australia, and Pakistan, whose ODI team is quite strong. He had stated, “I think you might see these four teams playing in the semi-finals.”

“Even though you get a little surprised when the World Cup happens, I will be a little surprised if any of them doesn’t play in the semi-finals,” he continued.

All teams will compete against one another in a round-robin style for a total of 45 league matches during the Cricket World Cup.

The top four teams advance to the semi-finals, which take place on November 15 in Kolkata and November 16 in Mumbai. There will be reserve days for the semi-finals and the final.

The 2023 ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup champions will take home US$4 million. From the US$10 million total prize money, the runners-up will get US$2 million, and the losing semi-finalists will get US$800,000 each.
