Pakistan’s Exclusion Opens the World Cup 2023 to a New Team. The 2023 ODI World Cup schedule has been released, but it is still unclear if Pakistan’s cricket squad would go to India to compete in the competition.

Due to their tense relations, India and Pakistan haven’t played any bilateral cricket series in recent years. Some of the matches in the 2023 Asia Cup were moved to Sri Lanka since India declined to travel to Pakistan. In reaction, Pakistan stated that it will not be sending a side to the ICC ODI World Cup in India.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) once more said that its participation in the ODI World Cup will be subject to government clearance shortly after the schedule was released. The PCB representative noted that getting permission from the government is necessary for them to be able to play on October 15 in Ahmedabad, or in Mumbai if they advance to the semi-finals. The Narendra Modi Stadium in Gujarat will host the eagerly awaited World Cup match between India and Pakistan.
