Paris FC, actively seeking to strengthen their right-back position, has reportedly identified a Barcelona player as a primary target.
According to a Friday report by L’Équipe, the recently promoted French club has made an inquiry with FC Barcelona regarding 18-year-old Héctor Fort. Born in Barcelona, Fort is considered a potentially ideal signing for Paris FC, a club poised to compete in France`s top division for the first time in over four decades.
The young Spaniard made 17 appearances for Hansi Flick’s team during their successful La Liga title-winning campaign in the 2024-25 season.
For the upcoming season, Paris FC manager Stéphane Gilli currently has Mathys Tourraine (24) and Sofiane Alakouch (27) as his right-back options, both of whom are older and more experienced than Fort.
Fort also gained valuable experience by making two appearances in the Champions League. Despite sustaining an injury last season, his path to a regular starting role at Barcelona is presently challenged by the presence of French international Jules Koundé (26), who occupies the right side of Barcelona`s defense. Koundé, a finalist in the 2022 World Cup, is under contract with the Spanish giants until 2030, whereas Fort`s current agreement with Barcelona extends until 2026.
