Former Lazio and England football legend, Paul Gascoigne, is reportedly on the mend after being hospitalized and spending time in intensive care this past weekend, according to British media reports.
Gascoigne`s Hospital Recovery
The Sun newspaper states that Gascoigne, aged 58, was discovered semi-conscious at his Dorset residence on Friday evening by his friend, driver, and personal assistant, Steve Foster.
He was initially taken to intensive care but has since been transferred to an acute medical unit, where his condition is now stable.
The beloved ex-player, who also played for Newcastle, Tottenham, and Rangers, is anticipated to stay in hospital for several more days for recovery and ongoing treatment.
Steve Foster, a close friend and colleague, commented: “Paul is in hospital, which is the best place for him to be at this moment.”
Foster also conveyed Gascoigne`s gratitude, stating that “Gazza would like to thank everyone for the support he`s received so far from so many old friends who wish him well and want to see him back to his best.”
