Following Barcelona’s Champions League quarter-final first-leg loss to Atlético Madrid, there have been updates regarding the fitness of their star player, Pedri.
The Spanish international had caused concern across Barcelona after being substituted midway through the match against Atlético Madrid on Wednesday evening.
Barcelona suffered a significant 2-0 defeat at the Spotify Camp Nou, and the early substitution of Pedri, who started the game, immediately sparked fears of a new injury setback.
However, recent reports suggest that the Catalan club’s supporters need not worry.
According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, citing the Spanish outlet Jijantes, Pedri is expected to be available for the second leg against Atlético Madrid next Tuesday after a medical assessment by the staff.
