Football & Cricket

Negotiations between Inter Milan and Club Brugge concerning the transfer of young talent Aleksandar Stankovic continue to face a major hurdle, specifically regarding the terms of his buy-back clause.

While the two clubs have reportedly agreed on a €10 million transfer fee for the youth academy product`s move to Belgium, a key discrepancy remains.

The contentious point revolves around Inter`s desire to include a buy-back option. According to Sky Sport Italia, Inter aims for this clause to be set at €25 million, a figure €5 million lower than Club Brugge`s desired €30 million. Furthermore, there`s disagreement over the clause`s validity period: Inter seeks it to extend until June 2027, while Club Brugge prefers it to expire at the close of the current campaign.

Stankovic, who is set to turn 20 next month, is the son of legendary Inter player Dejan Stankovic. He spent the previous season on loan with Swiss club FC Luzern and has also attracted interest from German clubs like VfB Stuttgart and VfL Wolfsburg.
