Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, aged 36, has reportedly reached an agreement to terminate his contract with Saudi club Al Qadsiah, making him a free agent. The Gabon international is currently in advanced discussions for a potential two-year deal to rejoin Olympique de Marseille.
This move signifies a likely return to the club he left just last summer, after a season in Saudi Arabia where he impressively netted 21 goals and provided four assists. Reports indicate that Aubameyang is prioritizing a comeback to Marseille over other European opportunities. The French club, seizing this chance, is said to be in advanced negotiations, having already proposed a two-year contract.
While mutual interest is evident, Aubameyang has also received offers from the UAE, Qatar, and within Saudi Arabia. However, a transfer back to the Provence-Alpes-Côte d`Azur region appears to be the most probable outcome for the former Arsenal and Barcelona forward at this stage.
