Napoli`s experienced winger, Matteo Politano, has expressed strong confidence in his team`s ability to rival any competitor as the club prepares for its return to the Champions League this season.
During an interview with SkySport, as reported by TuttoMercatoWeb, Politano conveyed the immense enthusiasm within Napoli for their upcoming Champions League campaign, with the 2025-26 season just weeks away from commencing.
Politano Confident in Squad`s Readiness
Further elaborating on his remarks to Sky, Politano stated, “We are certain we possess the right squad to contend with anyone. We are pleased with the effort we are putting in and with the current roster. Now, we eagerly await the league season to begin in August.”
Last season, Politano was a pivotal figure for Antonio Conte`s side in Serie A, making 37 appearances. He contributed three goals and five assists as the Neapolitans celebrated lifting the Scudetto after the final match of the season. The 31-year-old also featured twice in the Coppa Italia.
Additionally, in March, Politano received a call-up to the Italian national team. He participated in both legs of the Nations League quarter-final against Germany, a series in which the Azzurri were ultimately defeated on aggregate.
