Premier League Interest Grows for Sevilla’s Loïc Badé

Football & Cricket

Sevilla`s central defender, Loïc Badé, 25, is reportedly attracting significant attention from several Premier League teams, according to information from Foot Mercato. The French player, who was a key part of Sevilla`s 2024 Europa League victory, is apparently a top transfer target for AFC Bournemouth and Sunderland. Bournemouth, in particular, is looking to strengthen its defensive line following Dean Huijsen`s transfer to Real Madrid, and with Illia Zabarnyi potentially heading to PSG, their need for a new center-back is pressing.

Badé, a former Nottingham Forest player, is also highly valued by Sunderland`s Director of Football, Florent Ghisolfi. Ghisolfi previously signed Badé from Le Havre to RC Lens and reportedly attempted to secure the France international during his brief tenure as Sporting Director at Roma. Furthermore, Aston Villa, another prominent Premier League club, has reportedly shown interest in Badé. The Villans are in search of a new center-back after Axel Disasi`s return to Chelsea and had reportedly made a €26 million bid for Badé during the winter transfer window.

Beyond the English top flight, Villarreal and Marseille are also reportedly keeping a close watch on Loïc Badé, as per Foot Mercato. The 25-year-old defender is currently under contract with Sevilla FC until 2029. The La Liga club is expected to demand a transfer fee of approximately €30 million for the player, who notably impressed during his debut for the French national team in the Nations League 3rd place play-off against Germany.
