Mohamed Salah Confirms Liverpool Departure at Season's End
Over the past nine years, Mohamed Salah has been instrumental in revitalizing Liverpool's on-field success.
During his tenure, he played a pivotal role in securing numerous trophies for the club, including two Premier League titles, the Champions League, the FIFA Club World Cup, the UEFA Super Cup, one FA Cup, two EFL Cups, and the Community Shield.
With an impressive 255 goals from 435 appearances, Salah stands as Liverpool's third-highest scorer of all time, surpassed only by legends Ian Rush (346 goals) and Roger Hunt (285 goals).
His individual accolades include four Premier League Golden Boot awards and three Professional Footballers' Association Player of the Year titles, earned in 2018, 2022, and 2025.
Salah expressed profound gratitude for the unwavering support from Liverpool fans, acknowledging they "showed me through the best time of my career" and "stood by me in the toughest times."
"This is something I will never forget and will always carry with me. Departing is never easy," he remarked.
He continued, "You gave me the best time of my life; I will always be one of you. This club will forever be home for me and my family. Thank you for everything. Because of all of you, I will never walk alone."
Liverpool acknowledged Salah's "remarkable nine-year chapter" at Anfield, confirming that tributes and celebrations of his contributions would be scheduled for a later time.
The club emphasized that Salah remains fully committed to achieving the best possible outcome for Liverpool in the remainder of the current season.
Consequently, a full celebration of his immense legacy and achievements will take place later in the year, coinciding with his official departure from Anfield.
The reigning champions, Liverpool, are currently positioned fifth in the Premier League standings with seven matches left in the season.
Looking ahead, Liverpool is set to face current holders Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League quarter-finals and will compete against Manchester City in the FA Cup last eight on Saturday, April 4th.
Fellow Liverpool player Andy Robertson asserted that Salah merits a farewell commensurate with his standing as "the greatest" player in the club's illustrious history.
Robertson further shared on Instagram that it "has been a joy to watch and be part of" Salah's remarkable journey at Anfield.
