Paris Saint-Germain is reportedly optimistic about finalizing an agreement with Lille for 23-year-old goalkeeper Lucas Chevalier, with negotiations said to be well underway.
Lille is reportedly seeking approximately €55 million for Chevalier. In contrast, the Parisian club is confident of securing his services for around €40 million. It is suggested that performance-related bonuses will be crucial in bridging this valuation gap. Furthermore, Chevalier has reportedly given his assent to a five-year contract with PSG.
Earlier reports indicated that the capital club had reached a verbal agreement for a €40 million transfer, with only minor details remaining to be finalized.
There are also suggestions that current PSG number one, Gianluigi Donnarumma, may remain at the club this summer, prompting consideration of whether Chevalier and Donnarumma could both contend for the starting goalkeeper position.
