Paris Saint-Germain has confirmed the acquisition of Italian goalkeeper Renato Marin, who joins the club as a free agent following the expiration of his contract with AS Roma last month.
The 19-year-old, an Italy U19 international with 13 caps, spent a significant part of last season as a substitute for Roma`s senior squad. He has signed a five-year contract, committing him to the Parisian club until 2030, according to information from PSG`s official channels.

Marin`s journey in Italy began five years ago when he moved from Brazilian club São Paulo to join Roma`s youth academy. During his time with the Giallorossi, the young international made close to 50 appearances for their Primavera (youth) team, which led to his call-ups for the Italy U19 national squad.
Marin is now embarking on a new phase of his career, moving to the French capital much like PSG`s current goalkeeper, Gianluigi Donnarumma, although their career stages differ significantly.
In a statement released on PSG’s official website, Marin expressed his enthusiasm: “I am incredibly happy to become part of this fantastic team; this is a huge opportunity for me. It feels like a dream realized. I want to extend my gratitude to President Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, Luis Campos, coach Luis Enrique, and his staff for providing me with this chance. I promise to give my absolute best for them and for the supporters.”
