Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) has initiated discussions to sign Lucas Chevalier (23) from Lille. The young French goalkeeper has been a long-term target for the Parisian club as they aim to strengthen their options in goal.
After months of interest, the Ligue 1 champions have now formally pursued Chevalier. The 23-year-old has reportedly agreed to personal terms with PSG, potentially signing a five-year contract if the transfer proceeds. While official negotiations with Lille have not yet begun, PSG is aware that Lille`s president, Olivier Létang, is expected to demand around €40 million for Chevalier.
Donnarumma`s Future?
The potential arrival of Chevalier raises questions about Gianluigi Donnarumma`s (26) future at Parc des Princes, as his contract is set to expire in 2026. With reports indicating Galatasaray has submitted an offer for the Italian international, PSG may be preparing for Donnarumma`s potential departure by bringing in a new goalkeeper.
