Quinton de Kock’s Ton Put SA on Top

The 30-year-old south African opener, de Kock lifts his team against AUS with this second consecutive hundred of the ICC Men’s Criket Worldcup 2023. In the previous match against SL at Delhi, he smashed 83-balls century and set the platform for the biggest ICC CWC total. His team set the world record in 48-years Men’s ODI Worldcup history to post 428.

In today’s game No. 10 of ICC Men’s CWC23, where Australian de Kock scores another ton for his team to put AUS under a lot of pressure. It’s his 19th in the ODIs and 2nd in the CWC23 and 3rd against Aussies. His 90 balls century includes eight 4s and five 6s striking at 111.11. With this 100 against Kangroos, he beocmes the leading run-scorer of the tournamant too leaving behind Muhammad Rizwan.

He manages 30 off 33 in first ten, 37 off 30 in send ten and 33 off 28 in next ten. In the first power play he scores at 90.90, from 11-20 his strike rate’s 123.33 and he manages to score at  117.85 strike rate in from 21-30. 

On the other hand, he contributes 67 off 63 in 108-runs stand for the opening wicket and then contributes 23 off 23 in 50-runs stand for the second wicket together with van der Dussen.
