French club RC Lens has reportedly set its sights on AC Milan midfielder Yacine Adli, aiming to secure him as a replacement for Andy Diouf, who recently transferred to Inter.
It is widely acknowledged that the creative midfielder is not considered a key part of AC Milan`s strategy for the current season, having spent the previous term on loan with Fiorentina.
With the transfer deadline for Europe`s major leagues fast approaching on September 1, the urgency to find Adli a new club is increasing.
Adli`s Contract Situation at Milan

A significant hurdle for Milan is Adli`s contract, which reportedly expires at the end of the current campaign, effectively ruling out any loan opportunities.
Adli, who is currently 25 years old, was initially signed by Milan from Girondins de Bordeaux for €9 million in 2021, and subsequently spent another season on loan in France.
According to MilanPress, RC Lens has formally approached Milan regarding Adli, envisioning him as a potential replacement for Diouf, who recently joined Inter, Milan`s city rivals.
Furthermore, reports suggest interest from Sassuolo, potentially keeping Adli within Serie A.
