La Liga giants Real Madrid have begun discussions with Dani Ceballos concerning his imminent departure from the club. Both parties are seriously considering a contract termination this summer.
The midfielder Ceballos has long been rumored to be nearing the end of his tenure with Real Madrid. Having fallen out of favor in the latter stages of the previous season, the former Arsenal player is not anticipated to be part of incoming manager José Mourinho’s plans.
Previously, it was expected that Florentino Pérez and the club management would aim to secure a cut-price transfer fee for Ceballos before his contract expires in 12 months. However, reports suggest that Los Blancos may not receive any compensation for the 29-year-old.
According to a report from Real Madrid journalist Jorge C Picon: “Real Madrid and Dani Ceballos are negotiating the termination of his contract. There is a feeling that an agreement will be reached soon, and the Andalusian will be free to choose his destination.”
