La Liga giants Real Madrid are reportedly preparing to compete with Manchester United for the signing of a key midfielder from Newcastle United.
The player attracting significant attention is Bruno Guimarães.
Real Madrid is widely anticipated to strengthen their midfield ahead of the next season. Club officials have reportedly compiled a shortlist of potential targets, and Bruno Guimarães has emerged as a prominent name this week.
The Santiago Bernabéu club reportedly views the Brazil international as an ideal addition to their first-team squad, thanks to his comprehensive abilities across the pitch.
Consequently, a substantial summer transfer offer is being considered for Guimarães.
However, Real Madrid will not have a clear path to the 28-year-old, as Manchester United has also identified Guimarães as a primary target. This intense competition from both European powerhouses is expected to drive the former Lyon midfielder’s transfer fee well above €75 million.
