Real Madrid star admits this ‘might be my last’ World Cup

Football & Cricket

Real Madrid star Thibaut Courtois has this week admitted that this summer’s World Cup could well prove to be his very last at the tournament.

Courtois is of course currently plying his trade on international football’s grandest stage, with his native Belgium.

Across the Red Devils’ two group stage fixtures to date, the shot-stopper has featured from the off in both, successive draws against Egypt and Iran.

And those of a Belgian persuasion should do their best to enjoy every moment of one of world football’s very best taking to the pitch in their side’s colours this summer…

This comes amid the revelation that the 2026 World Cup is likely to be Courtois’ last. Speaking to journalist Alberto Pereiro early this week, the former Chelsea man was drawn on his future plans at international level.

And Courtois went on to admit:

“This might be my last World Cup.”
