As his tenure with Real Madrid draws to a close, veteran defender Dani Carvajal arranged a farewell dinner for his teammates and select staff members on Wednesday. The event, however, notably excluded interim manager Álvaro Arbeloa.
Carvajal, 34, is set to depart the club this summer as his contract expires without an extension offer. In anticipation of his departure, the Spanish fullback organized a team meal to mark the occasion.
Despite the inclusion of some staff, manager Arbeloa was conspicuously absent from the guest list. According to The Athletic, this exclusion stems from a reportedly poor relationship between Carvajal and his interim coach, leading the Real Madrid captain to opt against inviting him to the farewell festivities.
