Reports have emerged explaining why Real Madrid’s midfielder, Dani Ceballos, was not included in the team’s most recent matchday squad, despite being fit and available for selection.
Real Madrid was preparing for their next fixture in La Liga, traveling to Seville to face Manuel Pellegrini’s Real Betis. With players like Aurélien Tchouaméni and Arda Güler already sidelined, it was anticipated that Ceballos would at least make the bench.
However, this proved not to be the case. According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, Álvaro Arbeloa made the decision to exclude Ceballos from the squad, a move described as a purely “technical decision” by the Spanish coach.
Dani Ceballos Left Out of Real Madrid Squad Against Real Betis Due to Technicality
The absence of Real Madrid star Dani Ceballos from the club’s recent matchday squad has been clarified. This comes as confirmation that the Spanish player was completely overlooked, even though he was fit to play.
Real Madrid was set to return to action shortly. Amidst the ongoing La Liga run-in, Los Blancos, currently in second place, traveled to Seville to face Manuel Pellegrini’s Real Betis.
With players such as Aurélien Tchouaméni and Arda Güler ruled out for the evening, it was expected that Dani Ceballos, at the very least, would have secured a spot on the visitors’ bench at La Cartuja.
As previously hinted, however, this did not materialize. According to a report from journalist Fabrizio Romano, Álvaro Arbeloa made the decision to leave Ceballos in Spain’s capital, citing it as a purely “technical decision” on the part of the Spanish tactician.
