While discussing Pakistan’s chances of winning the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 with India’s former head coach Ravi Shastri, Harbhajan Singh critiqued Shadab Khan’s performance. He claimed that the all-rounder seems prepared to give up runs and go without a wicket in games.
A cricketer with such a strategy, according to the former off-spinner, can never be a match-winner.
He stated, “Shadab [Khan] looks pretty fantastic, but lately he hasn’t been bowling at his best. He has no intention of taking those wickets. Going for fifty and sixty runs and taking no wickets makes him quite content. You will not help your team win games if you spin with a mindset like that.

“I am aware that my recent performance has been poor, but I am confident in my abilities. Simply said, you get mentally drained when you aren’t performing, but your skills are OK. After taking some time off, my mental state has improved, and I’m sure that we’ll perform well at the upcoming World Cup.
