According to a report by Le Parisien, two Stade Rennais players, Bertug Yildirim (23) and Dogan Alemdar (22), are reportedly close to joining Istanbul Basaksehir.
Yildirim spent the previous season on loan at La Liga side Getafe. The Turkish attacker participated in 27 matches across all competitions, scoring only three goals and providing one assist before returning to Rennes in the summer. His opportunities for playing time are now restricted, particularly following the late-window acquisitions of Breel Embolo and Esteban Lepaul.
While Yildirim, like Alemdar, was initially expected to move to Goztepe, a high-flying team in the Turkish top-flight, difficulties in finalizing those agreements have arisen. Consequently, Basaksehir has emerged as the frontrunner to secure both Rennes players.
Istanbul Basaksehir faces a tight deadline to complete these transfers, as the Turkish transfer window is set to close later today, Friday, September 12th.
