The central defender, who will turn 27 next month, developed through the youth systems of Bari and Juventus before playing for Pordenone, Benevento, and ultimately Genoa. This summer, Pisa and Cagliari from Serie A showed interest, but no formal offers materialized. Serie B club Palermo was also reportedly among his potential suitors.

Genoa acquired Vogliacco from Pordenone for €2 million in August 2021. He later spent the latter half of the most recent season on loan at Parma.

Vogliacco is notably married to the daughter of the late Sinisa Mihajlovic, and their son is named in honor of the revered former Bologna coach.
