According to reports from Portuguese newspaper A Bola, Juventus and FC Porto have reached an agreement for an exchange deal. This arrangement would see Alberto Costa move to Porto, while Joao Mario, along with an additional €6 million in cash, would transfer to Juventus.
Earlier reports indicated that both clubs were engaged in extensive negotiations concerning this dual player transfer. It is now suggested that only the final minor details of the agreement need to be ironed out.
A Bola further specifies that FC Porto is prepared to pay €15 million outright, supplemented by an additional €1 million in potential bonuses for Costa. In return, Joao Mario`s transfer value is set at €10 million.
This means Juventus is poised to acquire Joao Mario, while also receiving a net financial benefit of up to €6 million from the transaction.
Alberto Costa`s Brief Period at Juventus

The Bianconeri had only signed Alberto Costa from Vitoria Guimaraes in January for €13.8 million. His tenure with the Italian giants was short-lived, as he made just 14 competitive appearances, contributing three assists from his right-back position.
Sporting CP had also shown interest in acquiring Costa, but it appears FC Porto has successfully secured his services ahead of their rivals.
Joao Mario, also a right-back, is 25 years old and a product of FC Porto’s own youth academy, having been promoted to the senior squad in 2020.
During the previous season, he played in 42 matches for the club, registering seven assists for his teammates.
