AC Milan has reportedly shifted its focus from Strasbourg`s Guela Doué and is now prepared to bid €15 million for Marc Pubill, despite interest from Barcelona and Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The Italian club is actively seeking a new right-back, having missed out on several top targets due to either competitive transfers or prohibitive asking prices. A recent offer of €18 million for Doué was apparently still far below Strasbourg`s valuation.
Pubill Leaps to Top of Milan`s Transfer List
According to Sky Sport Italia`s transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio, Milan has consequently pivoted their efforts towards securing Pubill. The 22-year-old Spanish defender, who recently celebrated his birthday, is expected to be available from UD Almeria for approximately €15 million.
However, the transfer is not finalized, as Milan enters the race somewhat belatedly, with Barcelona and particularly Wolverhampton Wanderers already engaged in discussions for the player.
Last season, Pubill featured in 40 competitive matches for Almeria, scoring one goal and providing five assists. He is also a consistent member of Spain`s Under-21 national team. Notably, Pubill`s potential move to Atalanta last season fell through after he failed a medical examination.
