Following a recent loan period with AC Milan, Fiorentina winger Riccardo Sottil is reportedly on the cusp of another temporary move, this time to Lecce, for the remainder of the current season. Sottil has faced challenges in securing consistent playing time at Fiorentina, and his six-month stint at San Siro also yielded limited opportunities.
Sottil Seeks More Regular Playing Time

An agreement has been reached to facilitate Sottil’s transfer to Lecce, where he will play at the Stadio Via del Mare. This deal is structured as a “dry loan,” meaning it does not include an option for Lecce to purchase the player permanently. The cost of this loan arrangement is reported to be €500,000.
The necessary transfer documents are currently being exchanged, with Sottil scheduled for his medical tests tomorrow. This move will also see him reunited with former AC Milan teammate Francesco Camarda, who has also joined Lecce on loan for the current term.
Sottil, who turned 26 in June, began his youth career in the academies of Genoa and Torino before transferring to Fiorentina in 2016. Throughout his professional career, he has had previous loan spells with Pescara, Cagliari, and Milan. To date, he has accumulated 129 Serie A appearances, contributing eight goals and 10 assists.
