SA vs AUS ICC Men’s CWC23 Match 10 Lucknow 1st Innings Highlight SA Innings

The brutal SA will take on wrecked AUS in the 10 matchof ICC Men’s Cricket Worldcup 2023 at Lucknow. SA have already posted the record total of WC history in their 1st match of ICC CWC23 against SL at Delhi with plenty of others record-breaking innings. 

On the other hand, the CWC23’s favourite, Australia have been seen struggling in India for almost 3 weeks. They have lost their opening game of ICC ODI Cricket WC to India besides losing previous to ODi series from IND and SA. They’re desperate for the 1st win and might take down sky-high spirited South Africa today. 

Pat Cummins and Temba Bavuma are out in the middle for the toss and this time Pat Cummins again wins the toss but chose to bowl first in against SA.

Aussies make 2 changes in their playing-XI as Stoinis makes a comeback in place of Green whilst Carey is rested for Inglis. Moreover, Proteas gives a chance to Shamsi for Coetzee.

The centurion from the last game of CWC23, Quinton de Kock will open the innings for SA together with his skipper Temba Bavuma. Whereas, Australia hand over Starc to open the bowling for them. 

Both African openers provide steady start for SA. At the end of the first powerplay of match no 10 in ICC CWC 23 South Africa manage 53 for none scoring at 5.3 hitting away five 4s and one 6. Quinton de Kock scores 30 off 33 shile skipper collects 17 off 27. Further, AUS try 4 bowlers in the 1st power play but none manages any wicket.

Proteas openers provide 108-runs stand for the 1st wicket as the skipper goes for 35 off 55 striking at 63.63. Bavuma proves lucky 4 times earlier in the innings against AUS but this time Warner bags an easy catch at deep midwicket. South Africa are 108 for 1 after 20. Moreover, SA add 55 from 11-20 for the loss of one wicket.

Rassie van der Dussen extends the scorecard with de Kock. Both batters take team’s total to 158. Van der Dussen becomes the 5th fastest to 2000 ODI runs in his 45th innings. Whereas, Hashim Amla, Ex- South African leads the table who completed his 2000 ODI runs in just 40 innings. when van der Dussen tries to clear the long-on but Zampa’s quick delivery does’nt allow elevation this time and Abbott there pockets it with ease. A 50-runs stand for the second wicket is broken. South Africa further add 63 runs from 21-30 with the runrate of 6.3 for the loss of 1 wicket.  Meanwhile de Kock reaces his 2nd hundred of the tournament in just 90 balls stirking at 11.11 with eight 4s and five 6s. It’s his 19th ODI hundred and 3rd against Aussies. At the end of the 30th SA are 171 for 2 with a 5.7 RR.

The fastest centurion of ICC CWC, Aiden Markram joins his companion at the crease. The left-hand, right-hand combination add 39 off 38 fo the 3rd wicket. Quinton de Kock who looks a bit of exhausted attempts a reverse-sweep which ends in hitting the wickets and Maxwell gets his 2nd of the evening. The wicket-keeper batter is sent back to the dugout after his 109 off 106 brilliant knock. SA are 197 for 3 at the end of 35.

SA add another 61 runs from 31-40 to end the 2nd powerplay of the 1st innings of match 10 of ICC Men’s ODI CWC 2023. The second power play also proves healthy for SA as they steal 179 runs from 11-40 at 5.97 for the loss of 3 wickets. The Proteas manage twelve 4s and five 6s.

Markram and Klaasen, two best finishers provide the spark that SA have been missing in their 1st two power plays. Both add quick 66 in just  50 balls  for the 4th wicket. But SA lose 2 quick wickets as both set batters go to the pavilion quickly. Aussie skipper and Hazlewood strike for Australia. SA are 5 down at 272 at the end of 45.

Australia contain SA in the final power play. The Kangroos don’t allow easy runs in the end and take regular wickets too to restrict SA to 311. The score that seems to cross 350 has been restricted to 311 which is a serious comeback from AUS. Aussies only allow SA 79 runs during the final ten and 1 in the ultimate Starc’s over for the loss of 4 wickets. They have scored twenty-six 4s and eight 6s too. 

Australian spinners bowl 20 overs this evening giving away 104 at an economy of 5.2 taking 3 wickets between Maxwell and Zampa at an average of 34.7. On the other hand, the pacers also bowl well the rest of the 30 overs. They concede 211 runs at an economy of 7.03 averaging 52.75. Hazlewood and Cummins pick one each while Starc picks 2 wickets in his final over.
