Former Juventus midfielder Alessio Tacchinardi has strongly urged the Bianconeri to sign Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho this summer.
In an interview with TuttoJuve (via TuttoMercatoWeb), Tacchinardi, 49, stated that Juventus would be an ideal destination for Sancho, believing the Englishman, who was a “phenomenon at Dortmund,” needs a fresh start to rediscover his form. Rumors continue to strongly link Sancho with a move to Turin.

Tacchinardi Surprised by Alberto Costa`s Sale
Earlier this week, Juventus finalized the €15 million transfer of Portuguese right-back Alberto Costa to Porto, a mere six months after his arrival from Vitoria Guimarães.
Tacchinardi expressed his surprise and regret over Costa`s departure, describing him as “a pacy player who seemed to be adapting to Tudor’s demands.” He added, “I would not have given him up, and the same goes for Weah. Joao Mario is a good player, but I am sorry to see Alberto leave.” He also acknowledged that “past poor decisions are now affecting the financial situation, with many players having been massively overpaid.”
The deal for Costa to join Porto also saw João Mário, a player with a similar profile, move in the opposite direction. João Mário, 25, brings slightly more top-level experience with three caps for Portugal.

Tacchinardi on Kolo Muani and Sancho Rumors
Tacchinardi, a veteran who made 261 Serie A appearances for Juventus, also weighed in on other players rumored to be joining the club.
Randal Kolo Muani, who enjoyed a successful loan spell with the Old Lady in the second half of last season, is again being linked with a return.
Regarding the French forward, Tacchinardi stated, “He has shown he’s a great player on the pitch, but he is not a leader. For me, a striker’s personality makes the difference for a team, and I haven’t seen him as particularly exuberant or someone who drags the team forward.” He suggested a maximum price of €35-40 million for Muani, “definitely not for €50 million.” However, he added, “Still, I hope he stays because he could form an excellent partnership with Jonathan David.”

Turning his attention to Sancho, Tacchinardi commented that he “is an excellent profile, although he hasn’t exploded in recent years. Perhaps it is the weight of expectations or environmental difficulties that held him back, but he has all the potential to have a great season.” He further praised Sancho`s technical ability: “He’s not a vocal leader, but technically he is very strong. In one of two attacking midfield roles behind the striker, he can be decisive at any given moment. He must be signed.”
