Sassuolo has successfully completed the acquisition of Jay Idzes and Fali Candé from Venezia in a joint deal valued at approximately €12 million. This significant transfer, which was previously reported exclusively, marks a strategic move for the Serie A club.
Venezia had consistently valued defender Idzes at €8-9 million, while Candé was priced at around €3 million. These figures align with the final agreement reached between the clubs. Despite both players attracting considerable interest from other Serie A teams, previous potential transfers failed to materialize for various reasons.
Idzes and Candé Join Sassuolo

Jay Idzes had been linked with Genoa, but negotiations did not progress effectively. Similarly, Torino`s interest was contingent on them selling Saul Coco for his €20 million asking price, a fee no club was willing to meet. Fali Candé, on the other hand, was a target for Hellas Verona. However, Sassuolo`s integrated approach for a combined deal provided them with a decisive advantage, ultimately securing both players.
While the final details of the agreement are now being finalized, Sassuolo`s pursuit of these players came as a surprise when their interest was initially disclosed a few days prior.
