Sassuolo Finalize Key Loan Deals for Fadera and Koné

Football & Cricket

Sassuolo, following their recent promotion, have successfully orchestrated two significant transfer agreements. They have officially secured Alieu Fadera from Como and Ismael Koné from Olympique Marseille, both through initial loan agreements that include options to make their transfers permanent at a later stage.

Reports, including those from Football Italia, had long suggested Sassuolo`s keen interest in Fadera, and it now appears all the intricate details have been meticulously completed, paving the way for his arrival.

Fadera and Koné Set to Bolster Sassuolo`s Roster

These strategic acquisitions, Fadera and Koné, are anticipated to considerably strengthen Sassuolo`s squad as they prepare for the challenges ahead in the league.

According to information from Sky Sport Italia, the arrangement for Fadera involves an upfront loan fee of €1 million. The potential permanent transfer fee at the close of the season is set at an additional €10 million. An interesting clause in the deal is Como`s retention of a buy-back option for Fadera, should the winger demonstrate exceptional performance during his tenure in Serie A this season. It`s noteworthy that Como themselves only acquired the 23-year-old Gambian international from KRC Genk last summer for approximately €5 million, along with performance-related add-ons.

The second imminent transfer involves Canadian midfielder Ismael Koné. Currently under contract with Olympique Marseille, Koné spent the previous season on loan with French club Rennes. His move to Sassuolo is structured as a €2.5 million loan. This loan will convert into a mandatory purchase for an additional €10 million if certain predefined conditions are met. Furthermore, Marseille will be entitled to a percentage of any future transfer fee if Koné is eventually sold by Sassuolo. Prior to this agreement, Koné had been extensively linked with a potential transfer to Italian giants Roma.
