Simeone praises Flick's Barcelona: "They seem to play a different sport"

Diego Simeone did not mince words when describing Barcelona's current winning streak. The Atletico Madrid coach, speaking to ESPN Deportes, offered his unreserved admiration for Hansi Flick's team, noting the clear gap they've established over their rivals.

"Barcelona appears to be playing a sport entirely different from ours," Simeone stated. "They didn't have a central striker, then Raphinha emerged and scored 12 goals. And Lamine Yamal, if I recall correctly, scored 7."

The League Leaders' Strengths

What particularly impressed Simeone was the Catalan club's overwhelmingly offensive mentality and confident approach, which they maintain even during difficult periods. "They press you in your own stadium, control the tempo, and aren't afraid to take risks or concede a goal," he observed. "It's as if conceding a goal makes them even better. They are the best right now." The Argentine manager's comments firmly cemented the new era for the Blaugrana.
