Udinese and Hellas Verona concluded their Serie A encounter with a 1-1 draw, a result significantly influenced by goals originating from corner kick routines. Throughout the match, the goal frame denied scoring opportunities on three separate occasions.

Udinese approached the game without their goalkeeper Maduka Okoye, who is suspended until October 18 following a betting investigation. Hellas Verona, on the other hand, was missing injured players Tomas Suslov, Yellu Santiago, and Nicolas Valentini. In the 83rd minute, Udinese substitute Hassane Kamara hit the woodwork for the third time in the game with a rising finish from 10 yards after cutting inside from the left, ensuring the game ended in a hard-fought draw.
