Sevilla Rejects Napoli’s Bid for Juanlu Sanchez, Demanding Over €20M

Football & Cricket

According to Fabrizio Romano, Sevilla has rejected Napoli`s enhanced offer of €17 million for Juanlu Sanchez. The Spanish club is reportedly seeking a fee exceeding €20 million, along with a 20% share of any future sale, a condition that Wolverhampton Wanderers might be willing to meet.

Earlier reports on Wednesday indicated that Napoli had increased their bid to align with the offer from Wolverhampton Wanderers.

However, Fabrizio Romano and Matteo Moretto now confirm that the Premier League club`s offer was not as previously suggested, leading to Sevilla`s rejection of Napoli`s latest proposal. Sevilla is firm on their asking price of €20 million, which includes various add-ons, in addition to a 20% sell-on clause, terms that Napoli is reportedly disinclined to accept.

The Serie A giants typically avoid transfer agreements that include significant sell-on clauses, particularly one as substantial as 20%.

Juanlu, a right-back, will celebrate his 22nd birthday later this month. He recently extended his contract with Sevilla, securing his tenure until June 2029. A graduate of Sevilla`s youth academy, he has already accumulated 59 appearances in LaLiga.
