Shaheen Afridi wants to ruin David Warner’s final Test Match

Shaheen Afridi wants to ruin David Warner’s final Test match. David Warner, the opening batsman for Australia, will play in his final Test series beginning on December 14 in Perth, according to Pakistani left-arm fast bowler Shaheen Afridi.

The just ended ICC World Cup 2023 saw David Warner in brilliant white ball form as his team won their sixth World Cup victory with 535 runs at an average of 48.63.

But since early 2020, Warner has only managed one Test century and has averaged just 28 during the summer of 2019–2020.

Following the third Test match against Pakistan at his home Sydney Cricket Ground, the 37-year-old hitter has made it clear that he intends to end the five-day match.

Speaking to the media prior to his team’s Canberra practice, Shaheen Afridi congratulated Warner on his incredible career but said the southpaw would not have a “good end” to his Test career.

“We hope for a good outcome for David Warner in his final Test series against us, but we would like to wish him luck,” Shaheen Afridi stated.

In order to maintain Pakistan’s top ranking in the World Test Championship point standings, Afridi also emphasised the significance of the Australian series.

As we now top the World Test Championship point table, he said, “this is an important series for Pakistan.”

He went on to say that his team was ready to take on Australia in their difficult domestic circumstances.

We are all eager for this task, he said, adding, “We have played against Australia’s recently announced 14-member squad.”

The first Test match between Australia and Pakistan will take place in Perth from December 14–18, 2023.

Melbourne will host the second Test match between December 26 and 30, while Sydney will play home to the final game of the trip between January 3 and 7, 2024.
