Shubman Gill Has Been Admitted To A Hospital In Chennai And Is Expected To Miss India Vs Pakistan’s ICC Cricket World Cup Game

Shubman Gill has been admitted to a hospital in Chennai and is expected to miss India vs Pakistan’s ICC Cricket World Cup game. Shubman Gill, one of India’s most effective openers, is still uncertain about his participation in the tense ICC Cricket World Cup match between India and Pakistan. Shubman Gill, who has dengue fever, is currently receiving treatment in Chennai’s Kaveri Hospital after being admitted on Monday morning due to a low platelet count, according to a report in Cricbuzz.

A suspect in the Saturday match between India and Pakistan (IND vs PAK) in Ahmedabad for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023, Gill had already been disqualified from the India vs. Afghanistan match in Delhi.

According to the sources, Shubman’s platelet count has been low for some time, and he is currently unable to stage a comeback. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) also refused to permit the star opener to go with the Indian delegation to Delhi for Wednesday’s ICC Cricket World Cup match between India and Afghanistan due to Gill’s low platelet count. The BCCI medical staff is attentively monitoring the star player’s health.

The team management was advised medically to steer clear of flying while the platelet count was low. Gill won’t be available for the Delhi game, the BCCI confirmed in a statement earlier on Monday, according to the Cricbuzz report.

Additionally, it is said that since Gill allegedly acquired Dengue a few days ago, only a small number of team India players have been able to meet him.

“The India opener is currently receiving care from medical professionals at Kaveri Hospital after being hospitalised on Monday morning. The youthful opener, who missed India’s opening World Cup game against Australia on Sunday, is also receiving care from Dr. Rizwan Khan, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) doctor who has been traveling with the squad, according to the sources.

India defeated Australia in Chennai to kick off their ODI World Cup 2023 campaign. The Men in Blue’s second game in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 will be against Afghanistan.

The team management was also advised to permit the star opener with the indian delegations due to gills low platetltes count. The BCCI confirmed in statement earlier on monday that he is not playing against afghanistan.
