Monaco midfielder Soungoutou Magassa (21) is on the verge of completing a transfer to West Ham United for an estimated €20 million. This move signifies a significant career advancement for the promising young French international.
Throughout the current transfer window, several Premier League clubs have reportedly shown keen interest in the France U21 international. Initially, Nottingham Forest made an offer for Magassa, but their bid was ultimately rejected by the Principality club.
However, with Monaco aiming to generate funds through player sales, the club remained open to Magassa’s departure. It was West Ham United who ultimately matched their valuation of €20 million. The financial structure of the deal includes an initial payment of €17 million, complemented by an additional €3 million in performance-related add-ons.
Magassa himself has already given his approval for the move to the “Hammers,” where he is expected to finalize a six-year contract. Following the successful agreement between both clubs and the player`s consent on personal terms, Soungoutou Magassa is now scheduled to travel to London to undergo his mandatory medical examination, the final step before the official confirmation of the transfer.
