South Africa Put a Massive Total 357 on the Board After Being Invited by New Zealand to Bat First

Do not let South Africa if you win the toss. They are destructive when batting first and that was the mistake made by New Zealand by offering them batting after winning the toss. The New Zealand captain won the toss and decided to chase despite knowing that South Africa could be lethal if they batted first. Once again they scored over 350 batting first. New Zealand has to chase down 358 to win the match.

South Africa started very slowly, especially when De Kock was not looking in good touch. He was quite slow and was not middling the ball very well. They lost their first wicket at 73 when the captain Bvuma got out after scoring 24 runs. But De Kock and Dussen added a massive partnership of 200 runs for 192 balls. This partnership provided the base that South Africa was looking for. And at the end with Miller’s quick-fire 50, South Africa posted 357 on the board.

De Kock scored his 4th hundred of the World Cup and led the table of leading sorcerers of the ICC World Cup 2023. The most impressive batter among all the batters who are participating in the tournament. He scored 114 off 116 balls with the help of 3 sixes and 10 fours. The strike was just shy of 100.

Dussen played a brilliant inning of 133 off 118 balls. He took his time initially and then started to free his arms by playing strokes all around the ground. With 9 Fours and 5 Sixes, his strike rate was well over 100. Miller was also impressive with his 53 runs for just 30 balls. Klassen and Markarm’s short cameo helped the team pass 350 for the 4th time.

New Zealand bowlers were a bit flat today. Only Boult, Southee, and Neesham were among the wickets. But Neesham was a bit expensive too.
