As the summer transfer window progresses, Chelsea has been actively streamlining its squad. Despite this considerable clear-out, Chelsea still aims to offload several more players currently within their ranks. Axel Disasi, for instance, is attracting interest from various Premier League clubs and is widely expected to leave. However, it is understood that he will not be returning to his former club, AS Monaco, contrary to some earlier reports.
Among those also anticipated to find a new club is 28-year-old defender Ben Chilwell. Having spent the latter half of last season on loan at Crystal Palace, the England international`s temporary spell at Selhurst Park concluded at the end of the previous season. It is now evident that Chilwell does not feature prominently in Chelsea`s long-term plans at Stamford Bridge.
Recent reports indicate that RC Strasbourg Alsace, a club also under BlueCo ownership, has shown interest in the defender. Additionally, Italian clubs Torino and AS Roma are reportedly keen on signing the left-back. Should Chilwell make a move to Strasbourg, the transfer would necessitate a permanent deal, as RC Strasbourg Alsace has already reached its limit of three loan players (Mike Penders, Mamadou Sarr, and Kendry Paez) from their partner club.
